Five Classic Thriller Films You Simply Have to See

Read Time:3 Minute, 24 Second

If you are looking for some really scary movies that will keep your heart pounding and your palms sweaty, look no further than Netflix. Millions of people worldwide flock to Netflix every day to enjoy their favorite scary movies. There are horror movies on Netflix that you could even choose from that you would not find in any of the multiple movie rental stores around your area. While there is a small fee to join, it doesn’t hurt to see if you can catch any of the top horror movies on Netflix right now! It might just be the perfect addition to your ‘to watch list’.

House of horrors – Based on a series of novels, this series of horror movies on Netflix has been creating quite the hype since it debuted a few months ago. Loved by millions, this scary movies on Netflix includes the entire House of horrors collection. If you haven’t started watching them, then you are definitely missing out. If you have seen the trailers and enjoyed them, there’s a good chance you’ll love this series as well. This is a must-watch on Netflix and should be on your list of horror movies to watch.

The Wailing haunted house movie – The Wailing has been getting rave reviews ever since it debuted at the end of last year. Based on the true story of a young girl who committed suicide after staging her own home to be haunted, this is easily one of the best horror movies of the year. Starring alongside Jason Momoa, the daughter of chainsaw maniac John Wayne, The Wailing is a must-see film you shouldn’t miss. Just like the title suggests, the movie is about the last person you’ll see alive and that’s the ghost of a teenage girl who hanged herself in the attic. With an all new release this month, this is a must-see film to see if you like a little ghost stories…

The Shape – There aren’t many horror movies with a cast that feels like a part of a horror movie universe better than The Shape. Based on a true story, the late Michael Jackson starred as the spookiest role of all time when he took on the role ofpinup man John Houdini. This was the first Michael Jackson Halloween costume and also the first movie I can remember that featured the image of Michael Jackson. Funnily enough, this spookiest Michael Jackson Halloween costume doesn’t look like the real deal; you can’t even tell it’s supposed to be Michael Jackson until you’ve seen it! The Shape is a definite must-see movie and worth the time spent checking it out.

Gerald’s Game – While it may not have the same ring as the other horror movies mentioned above, Gerald’s Game still has a lot to offer those looking for a little jump scare. If you’re looking for a mise-en-yous in the works of a modern-day Michael Jackson, I highly recommend the film starring the King of Pop himself, Michael Jackson. As a funny take on the ‘gee-wee’ principal of horror movies (you know, the one where the clown is always hitting you on the head with a shoe), Gerald’s Game takes a light-hearted spin on the gee-wee world of pop stars and gives them a bit more edge. A much-deserved follow-up to the hit Baby Don’t Go Here, Gerald’s Game is worth a watch.

The Shining – Even if you haven’t seen Part One of Michael Moore’s Oscar-winning documentary, The Shining, I wouldn’t skip this one. It’s a slow-burning, suspenseful horror film about the End of the Cold War. With an all-star cast including Ed Harris, John Tutturro, and Jack Nicholson, The Shining is a classic horror movie that will stay with you long after you’ve seen it. Plus, if you happen to love Stephen King’s The Dark Night series, then you’ll love The Shining more than most movies. And in Part Two of The Shining, there’s a look at how Jack re-creates his terrifying nightmare.
